ARTalk
Indigenous-led Wellness Workshops
In-person, Trauma-Informed, Healing-oriented workshops designed for your Centre and Community
The Proulx Global Education and Community Foundation, a registered not-for-profit Society, provides these offerings in collaboration with the Victoria Native Friendship Centre and your Centre.

How Does ARTalk work?
The Workshops :
- Are rooted in Indigenous wisdom and values, and run in partnership with
- Indigenous community members and practitioners.
- Offer participants a focus on personal wellness, stress reduction and mental health through group connection and dialogue.
- Incorporate trauma-informed practice by design.
- Assist participants to develop their own practice to share in their community in new sessions or as part of existing services. (train-the-trainer)
- Use commonly found objects, traditional arts, and techniques adapted from art therapy to spark creativity, connection and healing dialogue for participants.

Participants do NOT require art experience:
The healing process uses metaphors, textures, colours, and symbolism from the use of materials.
